‘Toadstool Magic’ is part of my mini collection of wood slice paintings.

A collection that brings back memories of childhood, when we made daisy chains,blew dandelion wishes, and found magic in everything around us.

‘Toadstool Magic’ is one of my favourites from this collection. There is nothing more magical than a little toadstool. The backdrop to these little toadstools was created by layering various shades of green, then adding green leaves around the edges to give the feel of the forest. The toadstools are sitting on a brightly coloured leaf floor of deep orange, making the bright red of the toadstools pop against them.

The wood slice measures approximately 16 cm in diameter and is 1 cm in thickness. The piece will come ready to hang with a bracket on the back.
